I finished the table topper. To be honest, I tore out the quilting, did a basic stitch in the ditch, self-bound the piece, and moved on. I'm VERY pleased with how it turned out. I came to the conclusion that any detail quilting would be lost under the glass, so I moved on and let it be. I'm letting the improvisational piecing be the star of that small quilt.
Sometimes you just need to know when to call it done.
I need to get myself out of this creative funk. Seriously. My current creative thought process is very conflicted. I'm by nature a very practical concrete, linear thinker. Yes, every now and then I can knock a creative idea out of the park, but most of the time I'm just "in the box". Now before you say anything, I'm not saying that being "in the box" is a bad thing. I'm just like the majority of people out there. I take a subject and run with it the usual way.
For a while you will see some small projects come from here. bit and pieces, experiments, triumphs, and failures. I'm going to make an attempt to get this creative mojo going again...
I'd love for you to help me get out of this slump. Can each commenter give me a one-word prompt? With your prompts I will attempt to work on something creative with it. Either on paper, writing, quilting, or whatever... just something creative.
I went ahead and kick-started it today with a line or two from a song I first heard yesterday. It really touched my heart. I just filled the page with words that popped out stream of consciousness relating to those two lines. Words were easier than pictures (see the two ripped-out page remnants).
We'll make it simple for you. One word... and I will run with it -- Creatively, of course.

Blessed!! I hope you have a BLAST today, by the way!! :)
CHOCOLATE....oh, wait.....ummmm...I guess that's not a creative word, huh? HMMMMMM.......okay......do something DIAGONAL! Yup...you can do it...I know you can!
FLOW - as in "go with the flow", "let the creativity flow from you" etc. And FUN - have fun while you're at it. (OK, that's two words but considering the way I am with words, be glad it's just 2!)
