Confession (Off Topic)

By the time the day ended I was not in a social mood, so I missed the guild  meeting. Decided to have a meltdown instead.

I've been fighting and fighting our health insurer ever since we first started dealing with them. April can't come anytime sooner. That's when our new benefits kick in. Our carrier has thrown issue after issue to us. In the end, we would have been better off self-insuring by paying it all out of pocket. If it weren't for the pre-existing portability part of HIPAA, we would have self-insured.

So forgive me while I cuss as cleanly as I can at them. You've been nothing but a cause of stress and headaches for me. While I'm not blaming people, I'm blaming policies, procedures, et al...

So... stick it where the sun doesn't shine -- sideways so it hurts.
And by the way, I WILL win this battle. Hell hath no fury when this woman gets pissed beyond belief.

I've been without insurance for two years now, and I wish I could complain about how they are evil and money hungry, etc...but I can't. Instead I have to hope that I don't get sick or injured before I'm finally able to move onto a job where I'm eligible for health benefits.

You go girl. Don't take this lying down as I know you won't. Things need to change in the healthcare field. I've watched too many die at the hands of politics.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)

Hmmm...sounds somewhat like me the other day when the carpet rep for my kitchen carpet installed less than a year ago told me that the amazing disappearing fibers, in one 14" circular area, is NOT covered under warranty...EXCUSE ME...this pricey piece of carpeting has a 20 year wear warranty on it. So yes Jean, I would like them to "stick it where the sun doesn't shine -- sideways so it hurts." I'm giving you a standing ovation and also standing in agreement with you that I too "WILL win this battle. Hell hath no fury when this woman gets pissed beyond belief." I had to quote you so much because you put it so perfectly. When I was younger, sometimes when my mom was angry, my dad used to say that she could carry a bone around longer than anyone he knew. So if you are like me, though it takes a great lot to make me angry, when I get a good angry going, I don't let go of it easily. Though I must add that I do believe that there is nothing worse than battling health insurance companies and I will be keeping my fingers crossed for a good outcome for you. I mean really, carpet is carpet...our health, well, that is something else all together. Wishing you good luck Jean and sending you a BIG HUG...
