There's only a few more sleeps until the Power Suit Art Quilt Challenge opens on Sunday. I'm getting excited!
Here is the list of the artists that are participating in this challenge. It's a mix of folks from experienced quilters to new quilters. Regular quilters, mixed media artists, and art quilters. I love how challenges bring all sorts of people together. I'm excited to see all the different points of view.
Links are up on selected artists who have web pages or blogs. Please pay them a visit. Who knows, maybe they, too, are offering some sneaky peeks!
It's a rainy morning here in SW Ohio. And from what I hear the rain will be here for a while. I need to hit the local grocery. Can you believe there are no vegetables in the house? For shame!!!!!! I will be remedying that soon.
It's vegetable soup for us.
I also made a 1/2 batch of artisan bread dough. I made this batch with a bit of honey from the farm and 1/3 whole wheat flour. The honey will keep the whole wheat from being bitter (as it tends to get while baking). I've got that rising in the oven. In this apartment it's the only non-drafty place other than a bathroom or closet.
Today's task is to make some Christmas cards. I'm helping a friend win a pizza party for his store (he works for Michael's), plus supporting our troops by making handmade Christmas cards. I've got several holiday fat quarters to use.
This task was timely, as yesterday's guild program was a demonstration on how to make fabric postcards. Oy vey! Like I need another addiction! Bwahahahahahaahahaha! I see some postcards in my future.
Have you seen a technique or new type of project that has your "cogs and wheels" going?
